Manjhi is an Indian biographical drama film directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. Based on true events, the film portrays the life of Dashrath Manjhi, a poor peasant who spent 22 years chiseling a road through solid rock in order to connect two villages in Bihar. The film stars Aamir Khan in his second role as Dashrath Manjhi and Sushant Singh Rajput in the title role of Gajraj. Principal photography began on 2 September 2015 at Film City, Mumbai. The film was shot in the forests of Bihar. The film released on 16 October 2017. The music of "Manjhi – The Mountain Man" is composed by A. R. Rahman, Nikhil-Vinay and Sanjeev Sharma with lyrics from Prasoon Joshi, Meet Brothers and Kumaar. The soundtrack album consists of five songs sung by Arijit Singh, Alka Yagnik, Shreya Ghoshal, Sonu Nigam and Chitra Singh. The film's theatrical trailer was released on 18 June 2016.
