There's a lot of debate around the effectiveness of 3DS Max 2019 for making games. In order to help people make an informed decision, I've decided to write a brief review. However, if you have a background in coding or have experience with programming, you can use the scripting tools provided with Max so that you don't have to actually code your game. The scripting tools work a lot like a text editor and allow you to create scripts to automate tasks within Max. What does it cost? There is a free version available that comes with limited functionality which I'll be going over in this review or an extended version called "Max Design" which ranges from $299 - $495 depending on the exact model you want. You can also use a subscription system where you pay a certain monthly fee and get unlimited licenses to use the product. Can I create games with it? You can create games with it if you want to. However, the main focus of this review is to see how well 3DS Max 2019 works for modders making game assets. Can I make my own game? Yes, you can make your own game using it's built-in game engine called "Max Game Engine. You can find more information on this engine here: Max Game Engine. Can I mod games using it? I would assume you can mod games using it. If you have a background in coding or programming then you could also use the scripting tools.
